Is it possible that someone may be able to give me the title of this song?

First of all, the song is being song by a young girl or woman. It is
somewhat old now. It seems to me that it came out in the late 70's or
80's. I thought the title was "Thank You for the Best Summer of My
Life. " I tried to plug it into you tube but nothing came up under
this name that sounded like it.
It is a girl thanking her boyfriend for taking the time to show her a
good summer. It is not really rock and roll. It sounded to me like
smooth early '60's teen/dating.- easy listening. To me it was very
touching as you don't hear something like this everyday. I'll be
watching and waiting for an answer. Probably you girls in your 40's -
60's may be the closest to remembering this tune. Thanks ahead of time
